The Dream
Som nevnt i episode #42, her er hele mailen Stian og Kenneth sendte til ATN. Det er bare å bli flau på vegne av Oval Ball med en gang, men vi skjuler ingenting fra folket! (og ja, den er på engelsk denne drømmen)
Yeah, not so much a question as it is a story involving, you Dan….
I’m not really a big fan of people telling me about their dream, it’s kind of annoying, but I promised my friend I’ll do it today because it’s his birthday. He might be in here as well – Kenneth Karlsen – happy birthday, buddy!
So, me and my two friends Kenneth and Reier (weird Norwegian names. We know) have grown to be huge fans of the NFL. This is not a huge community in Norway, and we tend to get sucked deep into our sports, which has happened with the American football – as we call it. Football is soccer here. Therefore, we pretty much chat and talk about it every day, and because of covid, lockdown etc we kind of got more into it than normal. Watching late games together over zoom etc… So we decided to plan for a podcast and launch our own website during this spring. One of our inspirations for input to the game has been you guys, and one night we got into a chat about who would be perfect guest of ours in our podcast (Oval ball). We talked about you guys…. Could be possible, maybe, teams and zoom makes everything happen nowadays….just look at this here….
I went to bed that night and I had this weirdest of dreams. I tend to remember nothing of it, except this time. We had somehow managed to get you to be our first podcast-guest Dan. And to plan for this we (Reier, Kenneth and myself) planned to test our English talking skills. To put it mildly, it did not end good. Stuttering, lack o words, screwed foreign accent and pretty much unserious language med this impossible. Therefore, we decided to record every single question and sound we would make on the pod with you as a guest. So, when you came on our zoom-podcast, Dan, we never really talked to you. We just sat there staring at you, nodding, looking down, while Reier – the technician – just played our pre recorded questions and talk, which made no sense at ALL. And halfway through it all, you just hit the red button and left. The last thing I remember is the three of us looking at each other and bursting into laughter. That’s when I woke up…
